HR ADVISOR | European Business Services Centre (Riga)
who is passionate about supporting people, improving HR processes, and ensuring a high-quality employee experience in an international, fast-growing environment.
What You will do:
- Provide clear, timely guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Coach managers on people-management best practices, ensuring compliance and strengthening leadership capability.
- Support organizational changes together with European HR Business Partners, offering local insight and smooth execution.
- Contribute to recruitment and onboarding by partnering closely with the TA team to ensure an excellent candidate and newcomer experience.
- Manage employee relations matters (performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence), escalating complex cases when needed.
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR policies and ensure their consistent application across the Riga EBS Centre.
- Support key HR cycles: performance management, salary review, budgeting and planning, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Participate in European HR projects (engagement, policy reviews, systems improvement) and help embed them locally.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend actions that improve engagement, culture, and employee experience.
- Help identify training needs and coordinate learning and development activities.
- Lead local projects aimed at improving HR processes, efficiency, and service quality.
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion in all HR interactions and communications.
We believe You will succeed in the role if You have:
- Solid HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented or Shared Services / Global Business Services environment. HR qualification or certification is considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of Latvian employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience working in a matrix organization; exposure to collaboration with other European countries is a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience coaching managers and supporting early-career employee populations.
- Confidence working with HR data and turning insights into practical recommendations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with HR systems.
- Fluency in English and Latvian (verbal and written).
- Strong communicator who builds trust easily and works effectively with managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative, practical and solutions-focused mindset, with a high sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
